Description:
The Project Manager role will be embedded within the Operational team to provide extra capacity to deliver the Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) project, delivering the oversight of the Non-Specific Abdominal pathways (NSS).
The post holder will support the General Manager and the Operational team to ensure that their work stream of programmes are planned and managed effectively and take the lead in assisting in their successful delivery.
This post is funded by the Surrey and Sussex Cancer Alliance (SSCA) for a two year fixed term period. QVH will be the designated hub for Sussex for this pathway.
The project and delivery manager will support the in the day to day delivery of the CDC project, managing the NSS pathway implementation and delivery.
The post holder will take a lead in the delivery of delegated projects ensuring robust project management and delivery, working to align the activities taking place in different organisations as appropriate. This will ensure delivery of the aims of the programme, encouraging all parties to consider end to end pathways, considering primary, community, mental health, secondary care and local government, community and third sector services.
Build consensus around the future implementation of services based on where the greatest opportunities sit, with a specific focus on health inequalities.
Review delivery plans to ensure that projects will be delivered by within the set out time frames.

The project and deliver manager will support the delivery of the NSS pathway and programme management agenda, taking an active interest and contribute to the wider recovery agenda.
To develop and manage the NSS pathway project and delivery plans, ensuring progress and reporting risk and issue management, liaising with appropriate functions within the system and ICS.
To manage all relevant corporate business returns, including planning and workforce returns in conjunction with other managers within the CDC.
To design, develop and implement systems to ensure information is properly managed to ensure the successful delivery of the CDC and to ensure that best practice is embedded across the team with regular monitoring.
The post holder will take a lead in the coordination of training and development as required across the Team.
Oversight and management of project budgets.
Will lead assigned projects as required ensuring robust project management practices are established and contribute to performance improvement, taking a lead for identified area
To work with members of the team to investigate the causes of any variance from plan and proactively contribute to the implementation of solutions.
The post holder will also manage risk and issues tracking mechanism and the resolution and escalation processes
