Description:

In your role as project assistant, you fully support lawyers in specific projects. Depending on the size of the project, you provide support to various projects at once. The team works together to ensure good service and maximum accessibility and continuity.

The role has a broad range of tasks. Your responsibilities include:

  • being a link between De Brauw’s multi-disciplinary teams, including lawyers and local counsel, by:
  • managing and providing support for legal projects.
  • managing and monitoring matters throughout their lifecycle, by providing ongoing guidance and oversight, including on financial information, planning, resourcing and ensuring a continued focus on creating efficiencies and adding value throughout the life of the project, all while ensuring project delivery, and conducting a timely matter debriefing at the conclusion of a project.
  • assisting in planning matters
  • managing processes and teams to facilitate the seamless and quality delivery of projects within the agreed scope, budget, and timeline.
  • drafting project reports and delivering input for management information.
  • independently supporting project teams by monitoring, administering and communicating about project budget, timelines, milestones and progress.
  • providing support as needed to the practice and clients, and delivering concrete project results
  • assisting in managing projects that require a dedicated project assistant by ensuring the efficient delivery of a project
  • recording and monitoring due dates, deadlines and terms
  • identifying existing bottlenecks in processes and procedures with project support and coming up with workable alternatives and solutions.
  • managing multiple workstreams
  • preparing invoices and checking budget tools
  • reviewing and sending out fee updates
  • planning and coordinating internal and external meetings
  • selecting and visiting hearing locations and carrying out negotiations with hotels
  • ensuring that hearing facilities are in good order

As a project assistant, you also have the opportunity to collaborate on innovative projects, such as optimisation of several work processes, and to learn more about the cases we handle.
