Description:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualifying candidates will satisfy one of the following requirement options:

  • Option 1:
  • Master’s degree in public health, public administration, behavioral health, social work, or closely related field and
  • Two years of supervisory or consultative experience in health services, social services, or Medicaid programs.
  • Option 2:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a field identified above and
  • Four years of experience as defined above.
  • Option 3:
  • 1 year as a Medical Assistance Program Manager 1.
  • Option 4:
  • Bachelor’s degree and
  • Two years of experience as a Financial Services Specialist 5 or as a Work First Supervisor.

Note: Additional qualifying experience may substitute year-for-year for required education.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2 years of experience with coordination, project management, and/or legislative review process.
  • Knowledge of multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) framework and experience in a school setting.
  • Experience facilitating meetings and/or trainings with diverse stakeholders’ groups.
  • Additional qualifying experience will substitute, year for year, for the required education.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders including youth and family leaders, youth serving system partners, and providers.
  • Excellent leadership skills and knowledge of systems change work and approaches.
  • Ability to work collaboratively to plan, analyze, and problem solve, develop goals and objectives, and use data for decision making.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Co-lead the assessment and implementation of Project AWARE for HCA’s contracts with Seattle Public Schools (SPS), Educational Service District 105 (ESD 105), and Educational Service District 101 (ESD 101) in collaboration with the Office of System and School Improvement (OSSI).

  • Review and make recommendations concerning state-level policies related to behavioral health programming to Project AWARE teams and DBHR leadership.
  • Create reports, reviewing reports, and maintain project budget.
  • Increase awareness of mental health issues among school-aged youth and their families through the development, implementation, and sustainability of a comprehensive school-based system of mental health services and supports.
  • Train school personnel and other adults who interact with school-aged youth to detect and respond to mental health issues.
  • Connect school-aged youth and their families who have behavioral health needs to needed services.
  • Serve as liaison between Project AWARE teams and the P-25 Section by ensuring the team aware of the progress, potential roadblocks, and support needed
