Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Project Control & Reporting Specialist to manage and enhance project control systems within our organisation, focusing on large-scale engineering and construction projects. This role involves ensuring data integrity and standardisation, developing project schedules and budgets, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure the best practices in project management are followed. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with project controls and data management, particularly in managing multibillion-dollar projects.
Responsibilities
Manage Project Control Systems: Oversee and manage project control systems to ensure effective project tracking and reporting
Ensure Data Integrity: Maintain and ensure the integrity and standardisation of project data across all systems
Develop Project Schedules and Budgets: Guide the development and maintenance of comprehensive project schedules and budgets
Coordinate with Stakeholders: Collaborate with various stakeholders to align project control practices with organisational goals and objectives
Implement Best Practices: Ensure that the best practices for project management are followed by the developed solutions
Influence and Manage Change: Influence stakeholders during implementation and manage change within the client organisation
Support Large-Scale Projects: Provide expertise in project controls for large-scale engineering and construction projects
Monitor Progress and Performance: Regularly monitor project progress and performance, identifying potential issues and implementing corrective actions
Reporting and Documentation: Produce detailed project control reports and maintain thorough documentation of project activities
Our Ideal Candidate
This role is ideal for an experienced project control specialist who thrives in managing large-scale projects and is passionate about implementing best practices and innovative solutions in the construction and engineering sectors. Project Controls Experience: Extensive experience in project controls and data management, especially in large-scale engineering and construction projects
Proficiency in PMIS Tools: Strong proficiency in Project Management Information System (PMIS) tools such as Primavera and MS Project
Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational and analytical skills to manage complex project data and workflows
Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with stakeholders and influence project outcomes
Digital Delivery Expertise: Knowledge of digital delivery methods and tools in project management
Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to manage and engage stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
Management Methodologies Knowledge: Familiarity with Lean Construction methodologies and tools such as Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) and Last Planner System (LPS)
PMP Certification: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desirable
Problem-Solving Abilities: Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing project challenges
Confidence in Large Projects: Ability to navigate and manage the complexities of multibillion-dollar projects with confidence and expertise
