JOB DESCRIPTION

Snowy Hydro is a dynamic, integrated energy business that has been providing on-demand, reliable energy to Australia for generations. Snowy Hydro owns and operates a powerful combination of generation assets, including the mighty Snowy Mountains Scheme, gas and diesel plants, and contracted wind and solar energy. We also provide electricity and gas to about 1 million retail customers through our retail brands Red Energy and Lumo Energy. Snowy 2.0 is Australia’s largest committed renewable energy project. This nation-building project will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Project Controller (Major Overhauls) to support the assurance and oversight of the scoping, planning and execution of Major Hydro Overhauls.
Reporting to the Outage Manager (Planning & Governance), this role will be responsible for the development and implementation of the Schedule Management process for Hydro Major Overhauls including documenting standard processes, tools, templates and plans.
Please note, this role is not FIFO or DIDO. This position is based in the Murray Region of Khancoban and requires the successful candidate to be based locally. Relocation packages available.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing detailed and resource loaded master schedules in conjunction with all internal and contractor work leads.
  • Completing daily schedule status updates and modifications with the appropriate change control.
  • Monitoring schedule critical paths, earned value, milestones and risks against the baseline.
  • Developing, implementing, documenting and managing a Schedule Management and Cost Control process for Hydro Major Overhauls.
  • Developing and maintaining the standard project WBS structure and project budgets for Major Overhauls.
  • Overseeing cost control by reviewing project transactions for accuracy and applicability as well as performing regular re-forecasting.
  • Collaborating with the overhauls, outage and contracts leadership teams to identify areas of improvement opportunities.
  • Providing accurate and timely reporting across scheduling and cost control to relevant stakeholders.
