Description:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project cost management within the industrial construction sector.
  • Experience on large infrastructure projects is preferred.
  • Experience within EPC projects or leading project controls in engineering or design projects is preferred.
  • Proficiency in project cost control software and tools (such as Primavera, Procore, 4castplus, InEight, or equivalent).
  • An advanced understanding of cost engineering best practices is required.
  • Understanding how to read estimates and convert into budgets.
  • Proficient in budget, commitment and Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Understand the fundamentals around procurement, subcontracts, and payroll.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex data and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proven leadership experience, including the ability to motivate and coordinate teams across multiple projects.
  • The ability to work independently to accomplish the tasks assigned.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency using Microsoft Suite, with a focus on excel, and Power BI.
  • AACEI CCP (Certified Cost Professional) certification would be considered an asset.
  • Understanding of project management methodologies and standards (PMBOK, Agile, etc.) is an asset.
