DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 1-3 years relevant work experience in residential construction projects
- A technical Diploma or relevant University Degree an asset
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Passion for construction and project management
- Recognized analytical and research skills
- The ability to handle a heavy workload, multitask and prioritize
- A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills
- The ability to travel throughout the Lower Mainland with access to your own vehicle
The annual base pay range for this position will be based on the desired experience level for this role. Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Manager with tasks including planning, initiating, executing, communicating, change control and closeout
- Support all aspects of construction administration including contracts, change orders, all purchase orders, variance purchase orders, warranty, and on-site coordination (presentation centers and TI’s)
- Assist with preparing and implementing project scopes, schedules, and budgets
- Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to date logs (drawings, vendor/subcontractor list, RFI’s, change request, extras), track responses and advice Project Management team on status
- Maintain daily communication with Site Superintendents and record daily construction activity
- Prepare subcontract, change order and change request documents as required
- Assist with preparation of Permit packages and submission
- Assist with communication between sub trades, construction crew, and office staff
- Set up tender packages and monitor bids as they are submitted
- Compile and record submitted bids, and present to Project Manager for awarding
- Coordinate submittals and gather all close-out documents including recording drawings, warranties, operating and maintenance manuals
- Archiving of project binders, drawings and relevant documents for close jobs
- Attend project coordination and client, architect, engineer and design meetings as required
- Record accurate meeting minutes and circulate to attendees
- Assist with preparation of Invitations to Bid
