SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience as a project coordinator, or related role, on a commercial tenant improvement building project is a must
  • Ability to coordinate and provide guidance for multiple projects at once
  • Understanding of and willingness to learn construction project management software (Builder Trend and Procore)
  • Proven ability to lead a dynamic team with multiple priorities
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills
  • Ability to find quick solutions and implement them proactively as problems arise day-to-day

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to support delivery of commercial TI building projects around the Vancouver area. This role will work directly with the Project Management team and Site Superintendents to ensure project plan administration supports the execution of field operations.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

You will support all phases of the construction project, including subcontractors, materials and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being followed, and work is proceeding with quality, on schedule and within budget, with responsibility for project administration.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in administrative project set up and establishing document controls under the direction of the Project Manager
  • Assist with pre-construction planning activities including look ahead schedules, health and safety, procurement, construction logistics, and project execution plans
  • Support with tender package submittal and subcontractor tender package recommendations to clients
  • Assist with obtaining all permits and local authority permission to build
  • Work closely with team members to identify, develop, and implement cost-effective project delivery
  • Work with superintendents to deliver safety-oriented, on schedule, high quality projects
  • Identify, address, and resolve problems as, or before, they occur
  • Develop and maintain close relationships with clients, consultants, subtrades, and suppliers
  • Assist in completion of deficiencies and issues related to the warranty period
