Description:
We are seeking a responsible skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Project Coordinator for Children and Youth with Support Needs (CYSN). Under the supervision of the Social Development Manager, the Project Coordinator CYSN shall be responsible for developing and managing the Children and Youth Support with Support Needs program within the contracted budget and guidelines provided. This is a fulltime position for a period of up to 12 months.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in Social Work and/or business or equivalent training, experience, and knowledge
- 5+ years of working in the human service field.
- Effective interpersonal communication skills.
- Knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook etc.
- High level of integrity, confidentially, and accountability.
- Sound analytical thinking, planning and prioritization skills.
- Willing to complete privacy training.
- Willing and able to travel regularly to remote communities.
- Possess a BC Class 5 driver’s licence and drivers abstract
- Provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, including vulnerable sector check
Responsibilities:
- Confirm Identify gaps, strengths, and challenges to support children and youth.
- Develop a wrap-around Indigenous-led service model with Dakelh values and principles.
- Develop professional partnerships with service agencies.
- Develop working relationships with professionals in mental, physical, educational, and spiritual health.
- Regular meetings with partners to ensure deliverables and timelines are on track.
- Develop one-year workplan.
- Develop service delivery model based on partner community needs
- Carry out other related duties as assigned.
