Description:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-secondary diploma/degree in Business, Event planning or another relevant field with a minimum of three (3) years’ work experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated experience in event planning, coordination, and execution of large events.
- Strong communicator – with excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
- Strong time management and organization skills, with ability to multi-task under little supervision.
- Solution oriented with proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with financial planning to budget and manage event costs.
- Highly motivated individual with the ability to work independently or part of a team.
- Experience in working with interdisciplinary teams, specifically in supporting and guiding others during planning, coordinating, and executing events.
- Proficient working knowledge of MS Office Software, internet, and general office equipment.
- Ability to travel when required.
- Reliable vehicle, appropriate insurance coverage and valid Ontario “G” class driver’s license.
- Current, valid vulnerable sector criminal records check. Valid 1st Aid/CPR.
- Cellular phone and internet access is required within this position.
- Must be willing and able to work flexible working from home arrangement if required. This may include a combination of virtual remote work in your home and in office arrangements. This will be based on operational needs and will be determined by the ONWA.
- Ability to speak an Indigenous Language is considered an asset.
