The UKRN Open Research Programme is an exciting, large and high profile collaboration (24 institutional partners) that aims to accelerate the uptake of high quality open research practices. It does this by providing train-the-trainer courses, support for reform of institutional recruitment and promotion procedures, developing and providing insights and indicators, and a sharing platform.
This role is the main administrative and office support for the Open Research Programme. It also involves handling email queries, organising meetings and events, budget administration, and communications activities.

  • Support staff in the management of major ORP activities, including: day to day administration; management and delivery of work plans; monitoring of budgets; quality assurance (QA); communication and relationship management, supporting project meetings and coordinating logistics/administration for visiting academics.
  • Plan and organise ORP activities (both simple and complex) such as board, group and committee meetings, webinars, workshops and training events.
  • Advise on, propose and implement changes in project procedures, plans, priorities and office systems to improve operational efficiency and quality of service in projects.
