We are looking for a Project Coordinator to join the product management team consisting of 12 Product Managers and 16 Product Owners and is growing. Such a large team requires from an operational standpoint a central figure to lead the communications, cross collaboration, and to take on a point role in some organizational processes. The need is also for a person who can ‘fill in’ for roles where needed.

Job Description

  • Responsible for procedural onboarding new POs and PMs, ensure comprehensive training, improve PO skill set for existing team members, being the assigned buddy of Product Owner and/or Product Managers.
  • Lead Special Projects: Project lead for various projects which involve Product Owners or Product Managers. Examples include Structure Gantt roll out, Story writing master class, etc.
  • Represent the cross organizational needs/challenges of the Product team with aim for finding resolution.
  • Participate in team meetings for Product Managers, Product owners, and Product team general updates. Lead the Product Owner meeting encouraging a safe space for PO communication of questions, ideas, challenges and successes.
  • ‘Guarding’ Product owner standards and processes.
  • Process optimization for efficiency within Product Owner team – Work with Senior Product Owners to analyse and improve process identifying value of changes.
  • Work with Senior Product Owner to optimize and communicate internal departmental changes being requested. Ie. Change to testing schedule, sprint duration, deployment schedule adjustments, etc.
  • Assist director with producing statistics on KPIs and delivery of product team to showcase achievements, early identification of gaps and challenges which need to be addressed, etc. (Utilization of Power BI).
  • Manage the Shiji Product Management Sharepoint pages.
  • Initiative and story templates management - keep up to date reflecting current needs of product management and strategy, Product Owners and development.
  • Ad hoc additional organization (ie. team workshops, get togethers, roadmap presentations).
  • Assist team with any additional needed PO overflow work, BA overflow work, PM overflow work. Occasionally analysis and investigation is needed for an initiative, an EPFR, or Product Ownership is needed in specific areas. Operations Lead must be able to perform all required roles to ensure smooth delivery and general success of the Product team as a whole.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years experience as Product Owner or Product Manager or 2+ years QA/Support within Shiji Enterprise Platform.
  • Hospitality Industry experience either via direct exposure or working within a software company delivery solution for the industry.
  • Self driven approach to work demonstrating eagerness to take accountability and ownership.
  • Good organizational and leadership ability.
  • Excellent in communication to all levels of organization. Ability to communicate ideas concisely in written and spoken word. Skilled at conveying direction and value in presentation format.
  • Ability to identify gaps, propose solutions while minimizing ‘overhead’ or bureaucracy. Ability to identify and create efficiencies and synergies among teams.
  • Ability to understand challenges of all role within the product team.
  • Ability to train, encourage, mentor new members on their role and their interactions with other team members.
  • Ability to represent Shiji’s product strategy, company perspective and encourage a team atmosphere within the company culture.
