WHAT QUALIFICATIONS DO YOU BRING?

  • Completion of a post-secondary college diploma or university degree in a related discipline (i.e. Business Administration) or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent.
  • Several years of directly related work experience.
  • Experience with brownfield sites/operational environments is considered an asset.
  • Sound knowledge of various engineering design principles
  • Knowledge of construction related practices, codes, standards and regulations and project management concepts involving several fields
  • Knowledge of procurement/contracting principles, the development of contract documents, and the tender evaluation/award process
  • Proficiency in the use of computer based scheduling systems and other computerized applications related to the work (e.g. MS Project, Maximo, Excel etc.)
  • Must have or acquire comprehensive knowledge of TTC organizational structure, operations, policies and practices applicable to the work performed
  • Must have or obtain Subway/SRT Rulebook certification.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Head of Operations, the incumbent will be responsible for the management, administration, coordination and development of all construction/closures/workplans, related to the projects, including YNSE, SSE, the Ontario Line, undertaken by the Group/Department and by external stakeholders which impact TTC facilities or operations. You will lead a variety of workplans for the projects and for the Group, provide project budget and schedule management support as well as managing consultants, suppliers, and in-house design assignments. The successful incumbent will work closely with OSP, C&D and other internal stakeholders to ensure all related closure/constructions requests are completed and received from Metrolinx in accordance with the closure agreement between TTC and Mx. The successful incumbent will also participate in the TTC Customer Service Ambassador Program.
