We provide a full range of design, construction and commissioning services and are active across many sectors including Renewables, Gas Networks, Water, Energy & Utilities, and Asset Management. The company is responsible for planning and development of some of the most significant projects in the energy sector in Ireland. We have 6 offices across Ireland, Northern Ireland, and England with over 160 staff.

Responsibilities:

Project Design Engineer – REF: 2413b
We are looking to recruit a Project Design Engineer to join our Energy, Utilities and Renewables design team. The successful candidate will join an established team with senior support and will have the opportunity as their career progresses to lead high value and high complexity projects.

The Project Design Engineer will have a client facing role. An example of some of the responsibilities for the role as the business needs require are as follows:

  • Design & project management from conceptual phase through to project completion in the Energy and Utilities sectors in areas such as renewables (biogas, biomass, CHP, solar, hydro, industrial utilities), pipelines and installations (gas, oil, water, or wastewater).
  • Development of preliminary and detailed design calculations.
  • Development of design drawings and specifications.
  • Development of conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design reports.
  • Balance of plant design.
  • Design and implementation of energy saving projects.
  • Industrial utilities design, HVAC, steam, refrigeration & compressed air systems.
  • Attend and participate in HAZID/ HAZOP and LOPA studies
  • Carry out PSDP/ CDM role

The Project Design Engineer will have the opportunity to progress their career within Fingleton White to be involved in the various business sectors to provide experience across a wide range of projects.
The location for this role will be in our Galway office, however we will also consider applications for our Cork office.
