Responsibilities:

The Project Developer – DER is an exciting opportunity in our Distributed Energy Resources (DER) and Engineering team in our Future Energy business unit based at our Perth CBD office.
As part of our DER team under the strategic leadership of our DER Portfolio Coordination Manager, we are seeking skilled and motivated individuals to contribute to the prioritisation, identification, and development of DER projects that align with our strategic objectives and vision for the future of energy.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Project Identification and Prioritization: Work closely with the DER Portfolio Coordination Manager to lead the identification, prioritization, and framing of DER-related projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with the overall strategy and objectives.
  • DER Initiative Pipeline: Identify and develop a pipeline of DER initiatives that contribute to meeting Synergy’s strategic objectives, DER roadmap, and anticipated energy policy changes, market reforms, and customer demand.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop business cases for projects/initiatives, ensuring cohesion of Business Units and accountabilities, and facilitating seamless project delivery.
  • Capability Advocacy: Advocate on behalf of the DER teams to secure access to necessary capabilities for the execution of DER initiatives in alignment with Synergy’s strategic objectives.
  • External Engagement: Support the coordination of Synergy’s external engagements with key stakeholders, ensuring consistency in messaging and objectives.
