Description:

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, business, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in project development, preferably in the renewable energy or power generation industry.
- Strong understanding of wind energy project development processes, including site selection, permitting, and financing.
- Proven track record of successfully developing and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in the renewable energy industry.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP) desirable.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate potential wind energy project opportunities, including site selection and feasibility assessments.
- Lead the development of project proposals, including financial modeling, risk assessment, and project planning.
- Manage the permitting process, including environmental assessments, regulatory approvals, and community consultations.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including landowners, government agencies, and community groups, to build relationships and secure support for projects.
- Coordinate project design and engineering activities, ensuring compliance with technical standards and project requirements.
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to meet project objectives and timelines.
- Negotiate land agreements, leases, and easements with landowners and stakeholders to secure project sites.
- Monitor and mitigate project risks, including regulatory changes, environmental impacts, and stakeholder concerns.
- Coordinate project financing activities, including securing funding, managing financial agreements, and reporting to investors.
- Oversee the construction and commissioning of wind energy projects, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with project specifications.
- Manage project documentation and reporting, including permits, contracts, and regulatory filings.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project development team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work culture.
