Responsibilities:

  • Motivate and lead a multi disciplinary team towards the achievement of the organisation’s strategic goals.
  • Develop and mentor performance of all employees through performance review, maintaining position descriptions and approved training plans.
  • Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to project managers, construction managers to manage interfaces between the project management team and internal and external stakeholders, and mediate in issue management between project managers and external stakeholders and team members
  • Responsible and accountable for contract negotiation and ensuring that the infrastructure program of work is delivered on time, to budget, and as per client signed contract.
  • Manage all aspects the Contract including performance (internal resource and external contractor), whilst addressing and remedying issues in the short term and long term.
  • Manage all project management resourcing aspects of projects working and negotiating with strategic delivery partners to source and build a team of skilled staff who are passionate, innovative and delivery focused.
  • Full accountability for all aspects of project management; change management; schedule management; quality and risk management; budget, cost control, and cost forecasting
  • Accountable for initial contract negotiation and ongoing meeting of customer needs and operational objectives by working through issues effectively and proactively identifying and addressing risks and issues to achieving full project recovery as per contracted conditions.
  • Develop, manage and improve project management and control systems for all projects under management of Engineering & Project Delivery team including methodologies, templates and reports.
  • Provide regular, timely summary reporting, to the Board level, in dashboard format detailing project management performance and remedial actions.
  • Collaborates effectively managing information and confidentiality requirements across Energy Queensland Limited in accordance with applicable ring-fencing parameters.
