Your Impact
In this role, you will design and deliver OSI’s control systems and provide ongoing customer support to ensure reliable performance and world-class customer satisfaction. Working from our Cluj Napoca office and from company and customer sites across Europe as required, the successful applicant will contribute to project delivery excellence in support of utility customers in the energy generation transmission and distribution industries. As a Junior Project Engineer, your responsibilities will include to:
- Support and contribute to customer project meetings to determine project requirements, then join in the design, planning, integration, testing and commissioning of hardware and software on customer systems as required.
- Support or lead the networking and system/application design and implementation. Customize system, hardware and network configuration based on customer requirements. Perform hardware, software and system installation, integration, and testing for projects, under the coordination of senior/ lead engineer.
- Provide technical sales support of state-of-the-art power systems applications for real-time control systems, including sales presentations and product demonstrations. Provide technical customer support and assistance per contract maintenance and warranty. Participate to the creation of training materials and project documentation.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or IT related field and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in project engineering, preferably in related industry.
- Relevant experience and knowledge in project engineering/ SCADA/ systems engineering: telecommunication networks, operating systems, control systems, configuration of networks and systems, basic troubleshooting.
- Practical understanding of energy transmission and/or distribution systems, including operation, control, and optimization.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational, interpersonal skills, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task on several projects in parallel in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel to domestic and international customer sites.
- English speaking, writing fluency.
