JOB DESCRIPTION

Automation Project Engineer is required by CareerWise Recruitment for our Cork-based client. This is a 12-month contract with a competitive hourly rate. As the Automation Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our production capabilities. Leveraging your expertise in automation and project management, you will oversee the planning, design, implementation, and successful commissioning of a large-scale automated production line. This position offers potential opportunities for career advancement.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Automation Technology, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in automation engineering, with a focus on project management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage small to medium-sized automation projects, with a drive to transition to larger-scale initiatives.
  • Proficiency in automation technologies such as PLCs, SCADA, robotics, vision systems, and data analytics.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the project lifecycle for the new automated production line, from conceptualization to deployment and refinement.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and timely achievement of project milestones.
  • Evaluate current processes and recommend automation solutions to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.Engage with vendors and stakeholders throughout the design and testing phases, including on-site visits as necessary.
