Description:

Title: Coop Student
CGC Inc. is actively seeking a Co-op Engineer to join our dynamic team at our Wheatland Plant. This exciting opportunity spans from September 1, 2025, through December 31, 2025, totaling four months, with a strong possibility of an extension.
This is a salaried position that requires 100% onsite presence, offering an excellent challenge for a motivated individual to showcase their leadership skills and engineering expertise within a prominent manufacturing operation within a large corporation.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for monitoring day to day process activity and recommend improvements to maximize efficiency and productivity to include waste, speed, delay and raw material usage.
  • Manage the coordination, implementation and standardization of manufacturing and warehouse process improvements.
  • Responsible for supporting new technology and processes and implementing trial plans.
  • Responsible for leading cross functional teams assembled to address process variability.
  • Incorporate safety into all aspects of the department and ensure safe working conditions during all activities associated within the manufacturing environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Candidates must be in a registered engineering degree program.
  • Candidate must demonstrate strong analytical skills, understand data collection, statistics and recognize the relationship between various process functions.
  • Candidate should possess and be able to utilize advanced problem-solving techniques such as SPC, control charts, Pareto charts, process cycle time, fishbone diagrams, flowcharting and process balancing.
  • Candidate must possess strong communication and leadership skills to be able to foster cross functional corrective action activity.
  • Self-starter and excellent organizational skills to be able to handle multiple activities.
