PROJECT ENGINEER/DESIGNER (M/F/D)

Kidde-Deugra Brandschutzsysteme GmbH, based in Ratingen near Düsseldorf, is a successful subsidiary of UTC United Technologies Corporation, USA, and is active in the field of fire protection technology for military and civilian vehicles.
For the technical project management we are looking for the future employee (m/f), who will work as Project Engineer / Designer (m/f/d) in our development and design department.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Qualified training as a state-certified technician, engineer or master craftsman (preferably specializing in electrical engineering/mechatronics)
  • Several years of successful work in comparable areas of responsibility would be desirable
  • Knowledge of CAD (Autocad) and CAN-BUS systems
  • Knowledge of MS-Office and ideally system programming C, C#
  • Good written and spoken English skills
  • Willingness to travel occasionally and class B driving license

Responsibilities:

TASKS INCLUDE:

  • Design of fire extinguishing and fire suppression systems in vehicles in military and civilian areas
  • Conducting practical fire tests at home and abroad
  • Installation, commissioning and measurement of sample systems in vehicles

at home and abroad

  • Developing technical solutions for prototype and series installation
  • Creating technical drawings (electrical and mechanical assemblies) and documentation in German and English
  • Carrying out system and product training in German and English
  • Technical clarification with customers
  • Providing input and advice to the sales department for subsequent quotation preparation
  • Supporting the quality department with technical problems
  • Requirement and definition analyses as well as hazard and risk analyses for design and construction
