Description:

SUMMARY

Enerflex is currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our Service department to provide support to Package upgrades and small projects located with our Brisbane, Eagle Farm Team. Reporting to the National Service Manager, the role will be predominantly office based but some site-based assignments can be expected. Specifically, this role will be responsible for managing work scopes with relation to Package Equipment upgrades including Compressors and Hydraulic driven equipment. Some structural, piping and mechanical interface design and execution, commissioning will be required.
This position provides process, structural, mechanical and piping design and project engineering support across all phases of a Service projects from estimating and tendering, through to design, project engineering and discrete package management, an onwards to testing and commissioning for installations relating to Gas Compression, Gas Processing projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline, with experience in a similar role within a contracting company
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Engineering with Package engineering being a focus.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Gas driven packaged equipment, relevant Structural / Mechanical and Piping standards.
  • Proven experience with subcontractor management
  • experience with development of ITP’s and quality documentation.
  • Track record of leading and delivering projects in the Oil and Gas or Mining Industry
  • Demonstrated capability in scoping, scheduling and budget management and forecasting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and a “team-oriented” approach to the achievement of projects
  • Ability to take ownership of work scopes and be outcome oriented.
  • Strong knowledge of Safety and Environment Regulations
  • Attention to detail and understand the concept of high standard compliance.
  • Be a self-starter with a focus on Package driven equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and administer project engineering activities to ensure projects are implemented in accordance with plans, designs, specifications and schedules.
  • Managing all facets of project execution as required to meet the Customer project requirements;
  • Preparation of documentation ensuring project compliance to Australian Standards, client specifications, project plans and procedures.
  • Interpret client requirements, identify and address design parameters and engineering problems and ensure solutions are implemented accurately and in budget.
  • Prepare project budgets and reports.
  • Procurement and purchasing.
  • Subcontractor management including quote evaluation and subcontract establishment.
  • Provide detailed engineering design input during field scope definition, including interpreting and challenging standards.
  • General technical and engineering activities including developing estimates for specific works scopes.
  • Development of quality assurance documentation including MDR, work packs, ITPs and ITRs
