The Engineering Development & Delivery Branch is seeking a motivated and skilled individual for the position of Project Engineer. This role involves the delivery of construction projects primarily focused on civil works through construction contracts.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Ideally the successful applicant will have the following:

• A degree in Engineering with relevant experience.
• High level computer experience including Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD.
• Strong working knowledge of road/ drainage/ traffic best practice construction methods.
• A basic working knowledge of building construction.
• Experience in the production of plan drawings, conceptual designs and jobs estimates.
• Working knowledge of surveying procedures associated with engineering projects.
• Ability to prepare contract documentation under direction from the supervisor.
• Experience in site work, project supervision and the production of site inspection reports.

• Experience in contract administration and construction managementExperience in applying project management and construction management concepts and systems.

• Delivery of construction projects through construction contracts with the main focus on civil works.
• Ensuring all projects are delivered to achieve intended outcomes.In conjunction with the Project Delivery Team Leader and other senior engineers, supporting various engineering functions performed by the branch
