We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our heavy civil/structures team, this role can be based in Hamilton or Tauranga.
We are a division of Fulton Hogan specialising in heavy civil/structures, based around reinforced concrete. We are currently delivering work ranging from bridges and wharves to water treatment plants, storage tanks and pipelines.

In this role you will play a key part in ensuring the effective delivery of our projects. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the project teams in the successful execution and delivery of the construction projects.
  • Being accountable for the day to day running of the project site and progress of works.
  • Ensuring documentation required for project records and administration is completed accurately and within required time frames.
  • Preparing correspondence/programming and cost estimates.
  • Scheduling works, procuring contractor services, and providing technical expertise as needed.

This is a permanent, full-time position. We are looking for someone based in Tauranga or Hamilton; however, you may be required to travel to other locations in NZ.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Structures Engineer
  • A BE, NZCE or a Diploma in Civil Engineering.
  • Proven experience managing budgets and programmes.
  • Excellent leadership qualities.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Financial focus towards project costs.
  • Proven ability in subcontractor management.
