For our newly built Hydrogen for Mobility (H2fM) team we are looking for a Hydrogen Project Engineer!

To be successful in this role you have

  • A Master`s degree (or Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience) in engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in project management. Experience in Construction is a plus
  • Proven experience in the Industrial Gases Business or related sector. Experience with hydrogen related processes and equipment is a plus
  • Profound knowledge of managing and controlling capital projects
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in the local language plus very good English language skills

Responsibilities:

WHAT IS THE ROLE?

As our (H2fM) Hydrogen Project Engineer you will work on strategic projects for the Northern Continent region (France, Belgium, Netherlands & Germany) to support the development of a profitable hydrogen for mobility business in the mentioned countries in order to reach Air Products market share goal in the market.
The team is responsible for the financial and technical delivery of all allocated project activities associated with the H2fM business product offerings. This includes installation and commissioning of Hydrogen Refueling Station (HRS).
As the (H2fM) Project Engineer you will also be responsible for budget management for all allocated project activities in Belgium.
Success in this role will require clear direction, planning and maintenance of key relationships with the regional and sub-regional safety, regional services, logistics and commercial representatives to ensure delivery of the most operationally suited solutions.

YOUR TASKS

In addition to the above, your tasks will be to:

  • Plan and execute H2fM projects and coordinate with technicians, contractors and suppliers
  • Support the installation and commissioning of HRS from a local perspective; liaise with local stakeholders (architects, permit approvers, fire department, contractors) and act as the intermediate
  • Ensure adherence to business processes utilized to manage and deliver the core engineering offerings incl safety performance of all allocated projects to maintain and develop the commitment to improve and embrace company safety approach and culture
  • Recognize and participate in Hazop methodology process where identified for Medium and High Risk projects
  • Actively taking part in EHS activities and deliver a personal contribution in achieving the ‘Zero Incidents’ goal.

Expected travel in this may be up to 40%.
