Description:

Project Engineer HCA Gaslift - Contract - Denmark, Esbjerg
Start date: 01/06/2023
End date: 31/12/2024

Scope of Work:

  • Participate in the day-to-day management of the Fabrication contractors and the Hook-up contractor
  • Management and handling of E&I and piping/mechanical designs within the project
  • As project engineer responsible for all E&I and piping / mechanical jobs are carried out offshore according to design
  • Together with the rest of the project team ensure that brownfield offshore hook-up contractor have the necessary job card descriptions to perform the job safely and effective at all time
  • Ensure procedures are correct for the given task. This by active involvement and by participating in the preparation of procedures.
  • Validate planning of offshore construction work scope within HCA Gaslift project to ensure optimal execution.
  • Participate in relevant onboarding of contractors and offshore information sessions
  • Participate in managing design contractor and hook-up contractor during execution
  • Responsible for performing assurance activities to ensure the quality of design contractor deliverables are acceptable
  • In collaboration with software engineer responsible for ensuring that all software (SCADA/ESD) is incorporated in the project
  • Responsible for relevant Function Acceptance Tests (FAT) and QC are performed
  • Responsible for ensuring relevant 3rd party verification of design deliverables
  • Support procurement and fabrication activities and respond to technical queries
  • Day to day support during offshore execution of planned activities (technical queries, etc.)
  • Responsible for project management of specific work scopes
  • Responsible for handling of mechanical completion of E&I, piping and structures scope and offshore commissioning.
  • All activities are to be closely coordinated with other parts of the project team as well as other members of the Engineering and Construction department and external contractors
  • Accountable for assuring that all delivered and erected piping materials have the right level of quality and adhere to applicable company rules and Design Standards and accountable for timely execution and delivery of the project.

Background/Qualifications:

Education: Engineering Degree (B.Sc or M.Sc) within relevant engineering discipline

  • 10 years of experience within relevant engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Oil and Gas industry.
  • Experience with Project Management and Design Contractor Management
  • Languages: Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Computer skills: MS Office (MS Project, MS Excel and MS Word), SAP
  • Good communication skills for internal and external relationships
  • Autonomous, results oriented, accountable and problem solving capabilities
  • Quality of persuasion, must be able to manage resistance to change
