Description:

Overview:
Herzog Contracting Corp. is currently seeking a Project Engineer in Philadelphia, PA at our Penn Coach Yard Project to join our team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Four-year engineering degree plus two or more years similar construction scheduling experience or equivalent combinations of training and related experience.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with a team
  • Must have strong organization skills
  • Must be highly motivated
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with Prolog or PM Web is a plus

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

  • Subject to pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review.
  • Subject to pre-employment physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen.
  • Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis.

Responsibilities:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This is a non-exhaustive overview of the job duties for this position.
  • Assist Project Manager and Project Engineer and act as support for the field.
  • Know the contractual obligations that HCC has with the client and vice versa.
  • Review and log shop drawings; assist field engineers with processing of submittals and RFI’s
  • Code materials, labor and equipment.
  • Procurement and timely delivery of materials to the project.
  • Process material submittals and requests for information.
  • Assist with Subcontract administration
  • Acquire and assist with closing construction-related permits
  • Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog’s Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position
  • Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position.
  • Other duties as assigned.
