As a Project Engineer II, you will collaborate with cross functional teams, design engineers, program managers, supplies, and customers to ensure successful execution of engineering design processes for electrical and mechanical systems integration. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the design and integration of complex assemblies in accordance with Collins’s product development process.
  • Provide design oversight for specifications, drawings, and test plans.
  • Perform system and component requirements review and compliance assessments.
  • Develop and manage project risk and mitigation plans.
  • Develop and deliver detailed presentations for product design reviews.
  • Support product verification, certification, and production.
  • Conduct Relentless Root Cause & Corrective Action (RRCCA) investigations for field and production engine test component removals.
  • Coordinate Class I and Class II engineering changes utilizing the Collins and Pratt & Whitney Configuration Control Board processes.
  • Coordinate efforts with the Category 1 supplier to carry-out any/all engineering tasks required to support program / customer milestones / objectives.
  • Develop and present project status and closure plans to Collins / Customer engineering and program leadership.
