We are currently looking for a Project Engineer Lead to join us at our facility in Wuppertal.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Sound technical education (bachelor’s or master’s degree or comparable) in chemical engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering
  • Experience in project management in plant engineering preferred
  • Project management experience in the field of chemical plant construction
  • Experience with common CAD programs
  • Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
  • Ability to work in a team, flexibility, ability to work under pressure, openness to new tasks, independence
  • Good knowledge of the use of office software

QUALIFIKATION/PROFIL

  • Fundierte technische Ausbildung (Bachelor- oder Masterabschluss oder vergleichbar) in Chemieingenieurwesen, Chemietechnik, Maschinenbau, Elektrotechnik
  • Erfahrung in der Projektabwicklung im Anlagenbau bevorzugt
  • Projektmanagementerfahrung im Bereich Chemieanlagenbau
  • Erfahrung mit gängigen CAD-Programmen
  • Sehr gute Kenntnisse der deutschen und englischen Sprache in Wort und Schrift
  • Teamfähigkeit, Flexibilität, Belastbarkeit, Offenheit für neue Aufgaben, Selbständigkeit
  • Gute Kenntnisse in der Anwendung von Office-Software

Responsibilities:

  • This person would be responsible for the process engineering design of new plants to be planned as well as supplementary sub-areas, including their specification and calculation
  • Responsible for the preparation of R&I, PFD, Basic Data Report, process descriptions and requirement and functional specifications
  • Designs plant layouts using 2D and 3D systems (PDMS, Auto Cad etc) programs
  • Ensuring project objectives in terms of safety, deadlines, costs and quality
  • Leading and coordinating project teams and leading project meetings from project definition to planning and construction to plant handover to the operator
  • Responsible for carrying out cost calculations and ensuring compliance with costs
  • Not overflow budget
  • Development of the procurement strategy, definition of scope, clarification of offers, technical evaluation of offers in cooperation with the purchasing department
  • Responsible for final inspection and acceptance of the project up to the handover of the project to the company, including follow-up support of project-related complaint processing
  • Monitor compliance with applicable norms, practices, and internal performance standards and specifications
  • Is involved in the commissioning of the plants and is responsible for the project and plant documentation
  • Conducts risk assessments and leads the management of change as well as the quality assurance process of the plant to be built
