Description:

Overview: As a Project Engineer at NAYLOR, you will be an integral part of our project management team, contributing to the successful planning, execution, and completion of construction projects. This role requires a dynamic individual with a strong technical background, excellent project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience as an Project Engineer in the construction industry, preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial finishing processes, materials, and construction techniques, preferred.
  • Proficiency in using project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with diverse teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in estimating.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project managers and superintendents to develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Work closely with architects, designers, and general contractors to ensure project designs meet specifications and regulatory standards.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and change orders.
  • Ensure all project-related information is accurately recorded and easily accessible.
  • Understand and monitor quality control processes to ensure work meets the highest standards and adheres to project specifications.
  • Conduct regular site visits to oversee construction activities, ensuring compliance with plans and addressing any issues that may arise.
  • Assist in liaising between project managers, general contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Communicate project progress, challenges, and resolutions effectively.
  • Monitor project expenditures and assist in maintaining adherence to the budget.
  • Identify and communicate potential budget overruns or savings opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the safety team to ensure that all construction activities adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
  • Address and resolve project-related issues promptly, working to find effective and efficient solutions.
