Project Engineer

The Project Engineer will direct multiple internal and external teams to complete specialized and highly technical engineering projects.

• Develops project schedule and budget.
• Directs and coordinates activities of a multi-disciplinary team (including engineering, product managers, supply chain, manufacturing) to ensure the project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget
• Reviews status reports prepared by the project personnel and modifies schedule or plan as required.
• Establishes and maintains contacts with internal and external customers, to provide information, gain acceptance and support of the project, and ensure that the project meets the customer needs.
• Reports project status to senior management in a concise and clear manner.
• Minimal travel may be required.
• BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years’ experience managing large, highly visible projects with multiple vendors in engineering and technology - preferably in high volume consumer products.
• Apply engineering skills to the design and development of new products as well as product changes and enhancements.
• Familiar with industry standard software and hardware development methodologies and/or mechanical engineering principles.
• The preferred candidate will have experience managing product development groups from project inception through design to production.
• Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects to completion on-time and within budget
• PMI certification is preferred.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
