Are you an experienced Project Engineer looking for a dynamic role in the mining industry? Join our Non-Process Infrastructure engineering team in the Bowen Basin, and make a significant impact on our water pipeline projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of engineering experience in construction, mining, or related fields.
  • Degree in mechanical, civil, or piping engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience with large-scale civil and piping projects.
  • Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project.
  • Contract management and commercial experience in project delivery.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Willingness to travel to the site as required.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Project Engineer, you’ll assist the Pipelines Project Manager in scoping and delivering water pipeline projects from initiation through to closeout. Your focus will be on ensuring compliance with project management frameworks, engineering quality, and change management systems. You’ll work closely with internal and external stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes for the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist Project Managers with proposals, business cases, and project scopes.
  • Oversee engineering designs for compliance with relevant standards.
  • Engage with councils, water authorities, landholders, and mining companies.
  • Participate in contract meetings and assist with contractor onboarding and management.
  • Support the Project Manager with financial reporting and schedule compliance.
  • Contribute to quality assurance and project safety.
