Description:

The position
To assist Project Managers with coordination of NPP projects, including liaison with clients, suppliers, internal staff, issuing of all required documentation, project schedules, O&M documentation, shipping requirements and invoicing etc.

Main responsibilities

  • To assist with managing the delivery of all NPP projects. Project life cycle generally covers phases from order placement to delivery, installation and commissioning through to testing and proving before handover.
  • Co-ordination externally between client / consultant, sub-contractors and suppliers and internally between other AEG departments including Sales, FAE, Finance, Order Administration, Application Engineering, Manufacturing and Service Operations.
  • Operate within and strive to improve defined project performance measures including target delivery margins, cost budgets and on time delivery etc.
  • Work closely with the Service Operations Department to co-ordinate engineering resource ensuring all site works are performed efficiently and with costs only incurred that can be charged to the project.
  • Assist Project Managers with maintaining an up-to-date project status report for all projects.
  • Attend handover / kick-off meetings and project progress meetings internally and externally as necessary.

Qualifications and requirements

  • Strong focus on client satisfaction.
  • Engineering qualification, preferably with an electrical bias or suitable electrical engineering experience.
  • Project Management experience, ideally in an engineering environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of operating with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to successfully interface with various departments and personnel at all levels.
  • Multi-tasking ability with a flexible approach to work.
