Description:
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The Project Engineer will be responsible for managing all submittals, RFIs, Change Orders, Work Breakdown Structure and Material Kits for multiple projects. The ideal candidate must be able to work effectively in a multi-faceted and extremely fast paced team environment and be comfortable working at a desk and in a shop or jobsite environment.
DESCRIPTION:
Essential responsibilities:
- Respond to internal customer needs and resolve their issues in a timely manner
- Schedule and complete project start-ups and all the paperwork that they entail
- Ensure the weekly development of Short Interval Schedules (SIS) by project supervisors on all projects
- Assist with and maintain weekly labor tracking mechanisms for all projects
- Take material orders and equipment requirements from project supervisors and Project Managers
- Process orders, material requisitions, purchase orders and change orders
Secondary responsibilities:
- Day to day operations including change order breakdowns, risk development, contract administration, utility coordination, process change orders for both clients and subcontractors, schedule and complete post job reviews and closeouts with team members
- Coordinate with estimating for design build estimates, coordinate with change order estimates as necessary, coordinate with engineering as required
- Review and update job cost to ensure accuracy, assist with payroll needs, invoice approval, reconciliations, change order breakdowns, aging and receivables, maintain manpower report and note corrections daily.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3 5 years experience in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering industry preferred
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and their components
- Excellent communication and organization skills, the ability to be a team player and detail oriented are preferred
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
