DESCRIPTION
Equinox is looking for an experienced and talented Project Engineer - for a secondment role (initially 12 months) with one of Equinox’s key clients. The Client is one of Australia’s leading Energy producers – based in Brisbane.
The Project Engineer role will support a large gas processing project and be based in the client’s office in the Brisbane CBD. The project involves the multi-year design and construction of a large gas gathering & processing / field compression program in the Surat Basin of Queensland. This would also lead into construction field and commissioning support.
The role is largely a Project Engineering role and would support the Owners Team project and stakeholder management including overseeing contract packages, project controls, stakeholder support management, technical meetings etc. The role will not be overly technical however Oil & Gas experience would be an asset.
KEY SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Coal Seam Gas project experience an asset.
- EPCM experience valued.
- Experience in overseeing Contract Packages for oil & gas facilities.
- Experience in Project Controls in an engineering firm environment.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 to 7 years of experience in an EPCM Oil & Gas engineering environment an asset

Responsibilities:
- This Owners Team’s team role would be as a support to the lead Facility Project Engineer/Manager and would be a full- time in office role at the Clients office, in Brisbane.
- Managing/coordinating the interface between Vendors / Contractor’s (both Designer and Constructions) / owner’s team.
- Interfacing with internal functional team (FEED, Procurement, HSE, ICT etc.); Understand, establish the requirement of various aspects and execute in accordance with agreed procedure and process.
- Managing various packages / Vendors that applicable to the scope (both technical scope and non-technical scope).
- Coordinating pre-mobilisation activities for Contractors (preferably in QLD CSG industry).
- Coordinating the establishment of the construction / commissioning completion system.
- Strong in risk identification and mitigation to support over all project planning, monitoring and reporting.
- Attend Technical meetings as required.
