Seeking an experienced Project Manager to manage end to end delivery of Communications Projects.

We are now seeking a talented and motivated Project Engineer to join our Telecommunications division.
As a Project Engineer you will play a crucial role in the planning, execution, and completion of telecommunications projects. You will collaborate with a dynamic team of professionals to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End to End responsibility for the Build phase of projects
  • Support Project Engineers and Project Coordinators in the delivery of their works
  • Financial responsibility for the site level P&L for each job
  • Day to day management of project construction activities
  • Attend design reviews and provide advice relating to constructability, temporary works designs, safety, and site access and associated issues. Development, monitoring and control of achievable project schedule
  • Plan, manage and implement the site establishment activities necessary to ensure all site specific and contract requirements are met in terms of location, fencing, signage, environmental and traffic conditions.
  • Identification, analysis and mitigation of potential risk events including establishment of risk register and initiation of corrective action when required
  • Manage changes to scope, deliverables, schedule and budget
  • Analyse variance, trends, risks and opportunities, key business drivers and sensitivities, highlighting significant operational performance issues to management
  • Drive the development of the design phase and interface activities of the program (schedule) and ensure ownership of the program by all project design team members
  • Manage and achieve the delivery of engineering design aspects of projects through management of design activities until completion and submission of all deliverables on time, to budget and to quality standard as agreed with by project manager
  • Manage and control budget associated with relevant scope of work, including earned value, cost control in accordance with the work breakdown structure and forecasting of revenue and cost to complete for monthly reporting
  • Weekly, fortnightly and monthly report input as required
  • Set up multi-level schedules in addition to updating of schedules and reporting progress against baseline
  • Coordinate with the internal and external project design team through the project and design requirements and convene, manage and record regular project design team meetings
  • Ensure that project/contract staff have implemented and are maintaining appropriate cost control measures, contractual notices, claim procedures and tools to manage all contractual provisions.
  • Ensure that project/contract staff have implemented and are maintaining appropriate Risk & Opportunities
  • Ensure technical, program, quality, environmental, industrial, safety and commercial obligations are achieved and maintained on site

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field Advantageous.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project engineering, preferably within the telecommunications industry.
  • Proven experience within the telecommunications industry.
  • Strong knowledge of telecommunications systems, infrastructure, and technologies.
  • Proven experience in managing complex projects and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
