Job Description Summary
Service Stream’s Telecommunications division are currently seeking a Project Engineer (Build) to join our VIC wireless team.
In this role, you will lead a team of Sub-Contractors to effectively lead and manage projects from the business development stage through to implementation and completion ensuring delivery is in accordance with Service Stream standards and as per the contractual obligations to meet our client’s expectations.
About the Role

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the procurement and development of all suitably qualified resources necessary to meet the delivery objectives of the project.
  • Thoroughly understand all client Head Contract objectives and obligations (including time, quality, price, process management and other KPIs) to ensure they are fully administered and implemented by all team members.
  • Represent the company within designated authority level and behave in a fully professional and ethical manner.
  • Understand and manage the processes relating to tenure agreements, environmental approval, site design and construction including all relevant industry legislation, acts and codes.
  • Ability to multiple internal stakeholder teams to achieve common goal.
  • Ensure that subcontractors are appropriately qualified and experienced to carry out the works required of them and ensure that suitable resources are available to complete the works.
  • Adopt proactive and responsive customer service attitude and maintain a good working relationship with clients.
  • Understand all client objectives and obligations to ensure they are fully administered, implemented, and delivered to by all team members.
  • Delegate responsibilities to team in line with skill, knowledge and ability and where necessary identify skills gaps and training requirements.
  • Communicate relevant company information and business objectives to direct reports enabling them to effectively carry out their functions Coach, mentor and develop all members of the team
  • Willing to travel to regional Victoria for Site Visits/Audits occasionally.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role, leading a team, managing budgets, costs, consultants, and clients
  • Highly experienced in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and ERP systems.
  • Outstanding planning and project management skills and a demonstrated ability to communicate across a broad range of stakeholders
  • High level numerical analysis skills and the ability to provide clear conclusions and recommendations on complex deployment, management or contractual issues
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of legislative requirements
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of industry and competition
  • Working knowledge of Wireless/Mobiles Infrastructure and technologies
  • Experience in operating successfully in multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Commercial and financial acumen
  • Demonstrable track record of leading the required functions and achieving results.
