    Standard BioTools is looking for a Project Engineer who as a part of the Product Development team will play an essential role in development of commercial mass cytometry systems at our Markham, ON site.
    Your primary responsibility is to ensure smooth and timely execution of product development projects.
    The Project Engineer will interface with engineers, project managers, scientists, software/firmware developers, QA associates and production personnel.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply technical expertise and project management principles to ensure timely project delivery
  • Communicate project status to cross-functional team members, including upper management
  • Coordinate project execution across a diverse team of contributors
  • Proactively resolve issues and project conflicts
  • Perform or facilitate project parts procurement, issue tracking, configuration control, change control and documentation control
  • Preparation of project documentation
  • Assist in development and maintenance of project plan
  • Perform continuous improvement of project execution standard work

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related field
  • 3 years experience working in a structured product development setting
  • Familiarity with project management principles (diploma/certificate in PM is an asset)
  • Working knowledge of MS Project and other MS Office components
  • Familiarity with Design Control, ISO 13485, and/or regulatory environment is an asset
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills to enable multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
  • Hands-on, pro-active and results-oriented mindset and attitude
  • Team player with a collaborative attitude
  • Attention to detail is essential
  • Sound analytical, critical thinking and decision making skills
  • Ability to relocate to the Greater Toronto Area in Ontario, Canada
  • Experience with mass spectrometry systems, imaging systems and/or vacuum systems is an asset
