As a member of the Manufacturing Technology Engineering Team, you will be responsible for inventing and implementing new technologies, solutions, and systems that enable the next level of green operations. You will be part of our international team and drive solution transformation and enhancement of energy equipment in regard to sustainability in our plants worldwide. A focus on sustainable infrastructure means lower emissions, the highest level of energy efficiency and decarbonization in our tire manufacturing plants worldwide.

Your tasks in detail:

• Plan and design sustainable energy infrastructure projects for tire plants in the following areas: steam, compressed air, water & sewer, energy supply, energy distribution, process exhaust and HVAC systems with the focus of sustainable heat generation and distribution as well as ventilation and exhaust systems.
• Lead complex projects with interdisciplinary teams to fulfill energy efficiency, sustainability, and reliable energy supply as well as emissions targets for the tire manufacturing process.
• Identify and analyze alternative equipment and solutions in order to provide competitive and advanced manufacturing technology with the focus on sustainable heat generation and distribution as well as ventilation and exhaust systems.
• Prepare and review the engineering budgets, project schedules and project control budgets for sustainable infrastructure projects.
• Ensure fulfillment of environment, safety & health requirements as well as green operation standards

Your profile

• Degree in the field of mechanical engineering or comparable focus area - utility, energy, and sustainable infrastructure engineering.
• Extended years of work experience in the field of retrofitting existing utilities equipment regarding sustainability and energy efficiency.
• High interest and experience in new sustainable technologies, running investment projects, developing suppliers and consulting tire manufacturing plants.
• High motivation, strong communication skills, high level of commitment and resilience, networking, conceptual skills, moderation skills, willingness to constantly learn.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• High Willingness to travel : up to 40%
