All About You:
We are searching for Project Engineer. The ideal candidate for a Project Engineer will have a proven track record in the areas of design, implementation, monitoring, and communication of operational plans for completing a project, use of precision test equipment, as well as assembling, calibrating, and troubleshooting electrical control systems. This position reports directly to the production supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Performs engineering design evaluations and communicate project scheduling restraints
  • Reviews industry policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance
  • Reviews reports of production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine or address problems
  • Provides technical support for the engineering process to the sales team and customers as needed
  • Work with customers to commission, troubleshoot, and test control systems for equipment in the field
  • Monitors progress and performance against the project plan, takes action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays, identifies, develops, and gathers resources necessary to complete the project
  • Develop customer documentation including technical specifications, battery specifications, customer requirements matrix, SOO, etc.
  • Vendor research, procure parts as necessary, works with vendors and supports test and assembly
  • Assemble, calibrate, and troubleshoot electrical control systems on 3 phase electrical controls, instrumentation, data communications, and wiring
  • Responsible for test set-ups and special instrumentations required to determine parts performance and system characteristics
  • Perform engineering tests, develop or enhance test procedures to meet the needs of the company while supporting traceability of the measurements
  • Use precision test equipment to test and troubleshoot (oscilloscope, multimeter, function generator, power analyzer, data acquisition modules, etc.)
  • Produce documentation, diagrams, charts, comments, and reports, read and interpret schematics and drawings
  • Perform other test laboratory support functions as required in an efficient and orderly manner
  • Monitor and maintain a safe and operable test cell

Responsibilities:

  • A bachelor’s degree required; electrical engineering or similar degree preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in the renewable energy, battery energy storage, or microgrid industries preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of control systems on 3 phase electrical controls, instrumentation, data communications, and electrical wiring practices
  • Experience in risk management, data management and reporting
  • Project and/or program management processes knowledge is beneficial
  • Travel required up to 40%
