We are now looking for a

Responsibilities:

  • To ensure maximum margin is achieved in line with Company policy
  • To schedule time so that key tasks are carried out in the most cost effective and economical manner
  • To organize, manage and control all aspects of mobilisation, start up and operation for a new or existing power plant facility.
  • To utilise and coordinate with Wärtsilä staff and functions to ensure successful completion of the project, on time and within budget, while meeting the construction and quality objectives and contractual requirements
  • To design electrical solutions and deliver electrical engineering projects.
  • Detailed surveys of major electrical plant/switchboards (HV and LV), focusing on power control and protection systems. This will require travel to clients and vessels as required.
  • To produce complex project quotes as per customers’ enquiries within timeframe as decided by the Management.
  • Preparation of integrated design packages, work packs and electrical schematics/documents.
  • Use of AutoCAD to establish base designs
  • Project management and liaison with clients, key vendors and certifying authorities
  • Technical support for our field service team, clients and Wartsila companies
  • To participate in the 24-hr. rota for customer enquiries at all depots
  • To maintain a good relationship with customers and colleagues by adopting a pleasant and professional attitude

  • In addition to the above duties and responsibilities, the post holder must be prepared to undertake such additional duties which may result from changing circumstances, but which may not of necessity change the general character or level of responsibility of the post.
