Responsibilities:

ROLE SUMMARY

The Project Executive will be responsible for safety compliance, client management,
constructability reviews, conceptual estimating, consultation, bid pricing review, program
management, change management and leadership with project teams on technology & low
voltage scopes of work including internal and external employees, vendors, and subcontractors.
This position is expected to be a subject matter expert, who, through the demonstration of
strong leadership, communication and project management skills effectively integrates
technology scopes on selected projects.

KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES - CORE

  • Supports all aspects of the company’s safety culture and creates awareness by
    demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment through individual actions

and mentoring others.

  • Coordinate technology related design and construction efforts that meet the

constructability, quality, financial and technical standards.

  • Review and Participation of outgoing RFPs to subcontractors and supplier in the Pre-

Con Process

  • Validate Subcontracting and Supply Scope and Partners with our Pre-Con

Development Team in advance of final procurement, including Scope Leveling, contract

negotiations, and relationship management.

  • Management of change orders reviews and bid pricing with the PM’s working

underneath you on the project

  • Provide technical expertise related to design assist, installation, and network integration

of complete and related systems.

  • Work with phased teams to create technology specific scopes of work and responsibility

matrices tailored to individual projects.

  • Review quantity takeoffs and obtains vendors; trade partner pricing to compile

complete & accurate budgets or hard bid proposals to make sure all costs are within

contract scope requirements with PM’s.

  • Manage overall budgets, costs and projections related to assigned projects with PM

Input per project section and per the Responsibility Matrix.

  • Assist with the development, dissemination, accountability and discipline of safety

standards with the Union personnel and current OSHA safety standards.

  • Lead, coach and motivate team members in a proactive manner, consistent with our

FIT policy.

  • Support the team for project delivery to achieve project financial, quality and

performance objectives.

  • Participate in companywide communication programs and strategy sessions to enhance

the company’s ability to effectively market, sell and deliver technology related services.

  • As part of the project master schedule develops with Onsite General Contractor, making

sure we are managing a project plan & schedule to identify tasks, resources and timing
to achieve project objectives (scope, schedule, cost, quality) and working with the GC to

incorporate into their scheduling.

  • Track and report progress on the achievement of project milestone(s) with team

members, stakeholders and team leaders.

  • Communicate, track and resolve issues in an effective and prompt manner throughout

the life of the project. This includes management of PM’s / Site Superintendents /
Project Engineers / Admin Staff and all other types of vendors or subcontractors.
Planning meetings to make sure proper communications at high levels as well as onsite

levels are happening and information is being shared appropriately.

  • Determine how results will be measured and complete a post-project evaluation of

performance to plan.

  • Ensure that all project documents are properly managed and archived upon project

completion.

KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

In addition, this position will be responsible for the following:

  • Management of the technology consulting process between our company and client/owner’s

consultants and contractors.

  • Identify and develop new technologies that support the Smart Building offering of

our organization. Work closely with the Sales Team to understand new technologies and ideas in

the market and how we can apply them to our current customers.

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops;

reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking

state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.

  • Engage local civic organizations and municipality activities to establish local involvement

with the projects as well as Union relations.

  • Assist in maintaining and growing staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training

employees.
