Job Description
We are seeking a Program Director - Strategic Projects, based in either Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane. The purpose of this role is to strategically position AECOM in the successful appointment and delivery of major capital infrastructure programs. To remain relevant and current in the market the role will also incorporate Program Director roles for business-critical programs across ANZ.

The role will devote efforts to activities which will provide visibility of project opportunities, assist, and advise AECOM to strategically secure key projects within the market. The role will lead and mentor staff (formally and informally) within the program environment. The role will be expected to contribute to the business and sales planning activities, in addition to assist and advise on growth opportunities and innovation. The role as part of the ANZ Programme Management team will contribute to driving the growth of our program management business in all sectors and partnering with clients to transform the way they deliver major infrastructure programs.

  • Lead the development of Program Management products in line with the Global methodologies to suit the ANZ market.
  • Lead our Program Management service offerings to internal business units and our clients.
  • Work collaboratively with ANZ Program Management Leads and the Regional Program Management groups leaders in designing and implementing the regional skills development process.
  • Working within client teams as part of the client integrated program team and able to manage the preparation of detailed program reports as required by the client or by AECOM’ managers.
  • Attending and/or facilitating project governance, program management, contract administration, planning and scheduling workshops/meetings as required by clients or AECOM’ managers.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Extensive Program Management skills with appropriate technical qualification
  • 10 to 15 years successful track record in field of expertise and substantial experience in program management, cost management and contract management of major construction programs.
  • Good constructability and contracting knowledge and its application to project services.
  • Must be able to articulate a clear direction and have good social, networking, and presentation skills.
  • Awareness of contemporary program management practices and execution of large-scale infrastructure programs including safety, quality, regulatory needs
  • Key player in winning projects for the group and in the generation of new sales and new business components within the ANZ market across a range of sectors.
