Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Mid-Level or Senior Project Management Specialist (Level 3 or 4) to join the Business Operations Team based in Portland, Oregon.

This position would manage multiple projects associated with work movement and other types of projects. An ideal candidate has an understanding of manufacturing process, experience with applying project management theory and concept, excellent communication at all levels of the organization, and ability to collaborate across various functions, and Boeing locations to achieve project / organizational objectives.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead others and advise all phases of assigned cross-organizational or business unit projects while demonstrating proficiency in all project management areas in accordance with accepted project management standards in the industry (e.g., PMI, Project Management Body of Knowledge, ANSI, and ISO standards).
  • Oversight and management responsibility including (performance management & reporting) for a portfolio of small to medium size projects in support of organizational goals and objectives.
  • Identify key stakeholder project specific objectives and requirements.
  • Ensure assigned individuals complete identified and assigned tasks while providing appropriate tracking and reporting per plan.
  • Provide in-depth analysis of project culminating with lessons learned and historical reports for incorporation into future project plans.
  • Develop solutions to complex problems that require resourcefulness and innovation.
  • Provide in depth analysis; identify lessons learned, provide historical reports to incorporate into future project plans.
  • Facilitate interpersonal progress while collecting weekly status across multiple teams that articulate risks and opportunities to leadership.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience working across multiple business units and interfacing with key stakeholders
  • 3+ years of experience in Business Operations, or Project/Program Management
  • 3+ years of experience collecting, interpreting data, and leading high-level projects for Executives or Senior leadership
  • 3+ years of experience developing and presenting recommendations to executive-level management
  • 3+ years of experience managing projects and using standard project management tools

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • PMP certification
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Level 3: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years’ related work experience, 10 years’ related work experience, etc.).
Level 4: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years’ related work experience, 14 years’ related work experience, etc.).
Relocation:
