Description:
Over the course of a project, the Project Manager will need to communicate with staff and clients, make decisions and monitor the progress of the project to keep it on schedule. Important responsibilities for a Project Manager include:
- Oversee entire project, including Mechanical, Electrical services and Architectural works
- Delegating tasks on the project to employees best positioned to complete them
- Assemble, coordinate project staff and provide direction and support to project team
- Prepare cost budget and negotiate with all sub-contractors on scope of works and final cost
- Ensuring necessary permits and approvals are secured prior to project commencement
- Hold regular client meeting/ subcon meeting, prepare weekly report and MS project macro and micro schedule for all trades
- Coordinate, instruct, and update individual services
- Plan and coordinate between client, main contractor, colleagues, sub-contractors and vendors to schedule and sequence of work
- Ensure the team update as-built drawings according to individual services
- Ensure staff understand and perform the requirement according to the local standard and comply with the authority’s requirement
- Responsible for all safety requirements and carry work with good safety practice
- Review and monitor submission of material and drawing
- Identify possible technical problems, and propose solutions
- Carry out pre-inspection with trades sub-contractors
- Ensure preparation for Operational Maintenance Manual
- Oversee testing and commissioning according to standard and client’s requirement
- Building good working relationships with clients
- Prepare, submit and ensure variation orders are agreed with clients/ consultants
- Close up final account with clients and all sub-contractors
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma with 10 years’ experience in mechanical or electrical
- Architectural discipline will be advantageous
- Well versed in CAD drawing, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project and MS PowerPoint
- Customer-oriented and good leadership skill
- Good understanding of construction contracts
- Experience in Additional & alternation project/ Fit-out work is a plus
- CSCPM / Risk Management preferably
