Description:

We are currently looking for an experienced Project Manager to join the E&M Team based in Glasgow. The purpose of the Project Manager role is to deliver all Projects on-time and to budget in order to fully satisfy customer requirements in a safe and sustainable manner and to continually develop and improve project communication and performance.

Main Duties

  • Manage Health & Safety process and ensure these are adhered to across the site
  • Help to ensure HSEQ is being documented accurately throughout the office team and the site team
  • Manage the daily operations on site and ensure project timescales are met within a safe and accurate fashion
  • Identify any risks in the project and mitigating risks
  • Effective management and planning input to the overall delivery interfaces with other projects and contribute in the co-ordination of third-party stakeholders as required
  • Report to the E&M Services Director on key aspects of progress issues and concerns at WGM and client level
  • Create and improve on an excellent Health and Safety environment with a healthy focus on training and promotion within all projects
  • Ensure all projects are commenced and completed to the quality standards and expectations of WGM and our clients
  • Plan resource and identify the workload of current and new projects
  • Contribute to the effective management of internal skills and resource requirements, where it is effective, efficient and when necessary, sub-contract packages set up to achieve successful delivery of all projects
  • Contribute and help to ensure that success throughout all projects is achieved by delivering the programme on time, with minimal delays that effect the pre-agreed completion dates
  • Help to ensure that we eliminate customer and client complaints on site
  • Review employee performance identify areas where improvements can and should be made

To be considered for this position you will have at least 2-3 years previous experience within a Project management or similar level role ideally within an engineering or civils environment and be qualified ideally to degree level within a engineering discipline. Candidates will also require previous experience of working within an electrical or mechanical discipline. Due to the nature of the role travel to various sites throughout the country is required so a valid UK driving licence is essential for the role.
