    Our client is 100% Australian owned and operated, who’s products are marketed worldwide. They have established themselves as a market leader in process and manufacturing. Due to growth, we’re seeking an Project Manager to join their team in the Hunter Valley.
    Reporting to the Group Maintenance Manager, the Project Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of stakeholders. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to effectively coordinate cross-functional teams and manage project resources.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management. Projects include building and construction of new buildings, production upgrades, refurbishments.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Facilitate effective communication among team members, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and manage expectations.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings and prepare progress reports for senior management.
  • Utilize project management tools and software to track tasks, milestones, and dependencies.
  • Evaluate project outcomes and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and best practices for future projects.
  • Develop project budgets, forecasts, and financial plans in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Track project expenses, resource utilization, and overall financial performance against budgeted targets.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies to optimize project profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare financial reports and presentations for management and external stakeholders as needed.
  • Promote a culture of safety and compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and standards.
  • Conduct and record regular toolbox talks, safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide safety training and resources to project team members to ensure awareness and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop emergency response plans and procedures.
  • Investigate and report on any workplace incidents or near misses and implement preventive measures to mitigate future risks.
