POSITION DESCRIPTION:

We are a team of friendly colleagues in the Asset Maintenance and Technical Department who are looking for a new Project Manager colleague for asset maintenance and major renovation mandates, mainly in the region of Quebec. Our team carries out more than 300 construction, renovation and modernization projects annually for residential and commercial buildings throughout Quebec. You will be responsible for completing the projects assigned to you in their entirety!

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Hold a degree in engineering, architecture, environmental design or equivalent relevant experience
  • Have 1 to 3 years of experience in project management
  • Any experience in construction project management will be considered
  • Knowledge of the building code
  • Knowledge of building maintenance is an asset
  • Master the Office suite and MS Project
  • French and English language both oral and written

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze projects in order to clearly understand the scope of each of them

  • Carry out work monitoring as well as the necessary administrative follow-ups, often within a limited time frame
  • Communicate with subcontractors, analyze submissions and present your recommendations
  • Ensure follow-up during the call for tenders processes
  • Ensure outstanding customer service at all levels
  • In collaboration with the teams in place in our properties, define, plan and coordinate projects taking into account the impacts on daily operations
  • Manage change notices and negotiate extras
  • Mandate and coordinate meetings with professionals, architects, engineers, etc.
  • Negotiate and prepare contract documents with contractors
  • Prepare budgets and project schedules
  • Provide your recommendations regarding the solutions to be applied and ensure follow-up
  • Supervise and control the preparation of plans and specifications as well as tender documents
