Description:
Are you a seasoned Project Manager with a proven track record in overseeing multi-discipline projects ranging from 5M to 20M dollars? Adecco is currently recruiting for a full-time Project Manager, AUM Team position with a distinguished mining and metals company in Kitimat, BC. The ideal candidate will have over ten years of experience in construction or industrial environments, along with a university degree in engineering or a relevant technical diploma. Residence in the Kitimat area is a prerequisite for this role.
- Pay rate: $80 hour
- Location: Kitimat, BC
- Shifts : Monday - Friday | 10 hours / day

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safely and successfully delivering several small to medium-sized projects for given plant areas or programs within scope, cost, schedule, and with quality in accordance with client requirements.
- Providing HSE leadership to ensure the safety of employees and contractors while protecting the environment
- Delivering project management activities: early studies, engineering, operational readiness, construction, commissioning and handover to operations.
- Setting and maintaining project budgets and schedules to meet internal and external commitments.
- Engaging and managing engineering service providers to ensure project objectives are met.
- Preparing, reviewing and issuing tender documentation.
- Sourcing, procuring and engaging suppliers and specialized subcontractors.
- Creating and maintaining project documentation in the different phases to meet Kitimat and Atlantic operations requirements.
- Engaging and managing area stakeholders to ensure alignment and the best solution is selected and implemented to meet the business requirements.
- Preparing presentations to investment committee and participating at investment meetings.
- Maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote teamwork, excellence and team engagement.
- Supporting a culture of continuous improvement in project management and controls
- Developing constructive relationships and collaboration with team colleagues, clients and stakeholders.
- Addressing issues and concerns positively and constructively with colleagues, clients and stakeholders.
- Engaging and progressing objectives and personal development plan with the Project Delivery Coordinator.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- University diploma in Engineering or a Technical college degree in a relevant field.
- Registration or eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer in British Columbia.
- An Engineer-In-Training with related experience can be considered.
- At least 10 + years of experience in construction/industrial environment.
- Project management training (PMP or master in project management) is a definitive asset.
- A proven track record of site management with safety, customer service and financial responsibilities.
- Sound understanding of project controls and project reporting requirements.
- Exposure to the client’s project management framework is advantageous
- Managed 5M to 20M million-dollar multi-discipline projects.
- Experience in managing and delivering capital brownfield projects from concept to close-out
- Proven commercial acumen.
- Knowledge of the organization’s policies and standard practices.
- Leadership and people management skills
- Effective written and communication skills.
- Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
