Description:
THE COMPANY:
Our client is a worldwide well-known and highly respected brand in the electronics industry. This position will sit within the Government department based at the Canberra Office. The primary function of the role is to develop, implement and manage the company’s delivery of the sovereign binary waveform reporting to the Company’s Director. This role requires an individual to work 4 days in the office and 1 day WFH on a 12 month fixed term contract.
Responsibilities:
- Analyse, develop and implement project plans and schedules that achieve optimal use of the company’s assets
- Identify opportunities for the company and report these to the Director
- Risk and issue management
- Oversee and provide governance of the system engineering and software development activities to ensure outcomes on behalf of Defence are being achieved, within budget and agreed timeframes
- Undertake reporting to the Director on outcomes achieved
- Planning of future tranches of work including plans, schedule, resource profile and costs
- Budget management
- Supporting simple and comprehensive procurement in accordance with Commonwealth Procurement Policy and LC4 processes.
- Liaise with operational stakeholders to ensure that operational requirements are being met by the development process
- Support Systems Engineers/Software with maintaining engineering authority and system baseline of the systems as part of the authorised engineering processes.
- Provide SME advice as required to stakeholders, including Capability Manager, contractors and Boards, as required
- Leading the development of capability plans including transition to sustainment and sustainment activities
- Support accreditation and certification activities including providing guidance on the process and outcomes to be achieved
